Objectionable Language Blockers
by ASTA Digital Projects Officer - Wednesday, 13 May 2015, 8:58 AM

A number of educational jurisdictions in Australia employ objectionable language filters for mail being sent to recipients in their domain.

Some of these filters are perhaps a little too restrictive, blocking emails containing words which would not be considered offensive by the average contemporary Australian.

However, as ASTA has no control over these jurisdictions, I would therefore suggest people posting on the forums on this site restrict themselves to less colourful language so their messages will reach all the people subscribed to the forum.

Thank you. Your assistance in this matter is appreciated.

Phill Berrie.
